How results are ordered
Ranking on BasketBridge is never for sale, and commission is never an input.
Order
We show products in the order the store's own search returns them. For a search across many stores, we use the order returned by Shopify's Global Catalog. We do not reorder results.
What we remove
- Products the store reports as unavailable.
- Stores that have opted out of BasketBridge.
- Products in categories we never link to: adult products; tobacco or nicotine products; drugs or drug paraphernalia; weapons, ammunition, fireworks or self-defence sprays; prescription medicines; covert surveillance devices; counterfeit or replica goods. We decline searches that ask for them, and check the store's own product category, its tags and the product's name; the search result says how many were left out. See Help.

What never counts
Whether a store pays commission, whether a link would be a referral link, which affiliate networks we use, and any payment or relationship with a store.
How we enforce it
An automated test (test/ranking-independence.test.ts) runs on every build. It sends the same searches through the full server with every combination of referral settings, opt-outs and affiliate credentials, and fails the build if the order of results changes in any of them. Removing a product never changes the order of the others.
